Goulburn-Mulwaree

Update

16 December 2011

Our project has been most successful by raising the awareness of recycling overall.

The list of  strategies that we planned and executed are as follows.

  • We planned and printed our education brochures, explaining  what was recyclable.
  • We planned and presented our questionnaire to the GOULBURN Mulwaree Council Environment Committee and also the CBD Recycling Working Party 2010.
  • We requested that this questionnaire be thoroughly examined and ratified by these committees.
  • We collated a database of businesses in the CBD
  • We invited SOT to address the GOULBURN Rotary Club on SOT’s goals.
  • The GOULBURN Chamber of commerce were fully briefed at one of their meetings on what we were going to accomplish after getting all the data together, from the survey.
  • Media releases on the project went to The Goulburn Post and the Goulburn-Mulwaree Council Newsletter and local radio.
  • Letters were posted to all businesses preparing them for a face-to-face visit.
  • 300 business were contacted face-to-face.
  • Over 100 surveys were completed on the day of our visit..
  • Just under a further 100 emailed, faxed or posted their responses back.
  • We are currently putting together a full report on every question that was in the survey, and the statistics and results will be forwarded asap.
